Should you refer a patient to Kym with a mental health care plan, under Medicare, please be aware of the following:
- The Medicare rebate is provided as for a ‘generalist psychologist’. Currently, that rebate stands at $96.65 for a standard length consultation.
- Please make sure your patient is aware that there will be a gap payment.
- Generally, this practice does not bulk bill, although Kym will consider bulk billing under exceptional circumstances.
- When referring a patient with a mental health care plan, please be sure to include your provider code and the date the care plan was registered with Medicare.
